Author / Speaker / Life Coach

Feel God's unconditional and awe-inspiring love in Mary’s first book, A Rape Survivor’s Spiritual Journey: My Poems and Practical Exercises, where she reveals her intimate healing journey with God by her side through the darkness of childhood sexual abuse into the light of His empowering love.

“What a story of faith and survival. This book should be in every clinic, every doctor and dentist office, on the pulpit of every minister to help bring those who need it comfort and to remind those who trespass that they should not,” says Nikki Giovanni, World-renowned Poet, Writer, Commentator, Activist, Educator, and one of Oprah Winfrey's Living Legends.

Mary’s second book, Love Poems from God: My Poems and Practical Exercises, is is also available. It’s an abridged version of Mary’s first book with only the uplifting poems.

A passionate advocate for survivors of childhood sexual abuse, Mary compassionately encourages everyone with a life-altering experience to begin or continue their healing journey by deepening their relationship with their higher power.  God’s empowering love helped her love her Divinefulness, that is, her True Self empowered by God’s love.  After finishing her book, her healing journey led to her conquering the Post-traumatic Stress (PTS) that haunted her for over 40 years.

A member of The Center for Faith and Community Health Transformation in Chicago, she also serves on the Planning Committee for the Chicagoland Trauma Informed Congregation Network.  Both organizations are efforts by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), University of Illinois Hospital, and Advocate Health.  Born and raised in Chicago, Mary still lives there with her family.  Scroll down and listen to Mary's song.  Then let her guide you to igniting your spirit!

Prayers

See Mary’s stress reduction prayers below.

My first one consists of five words, “Jesus, I trust in you.” I take a deep and pray it repeatedly out loud or to myself.

St. Teresa of Avila Prayer

Let nothing disturb thee,

Let nothing afright thee,

All things are passing,

God alone is changeless,

Patience endures all things,

Who has God wants for nothing,

God alone suffices.

Below is a poem / meditation I wrote that appears in my book, A Rape Survivor’s Spiritual Journey: My Poems and Practical Exercises.

Say these words knowing that God lives inside the holy temple of your body waiting for you to call on Him.

My Temple

(Finding God inside the Holy Temple of Your Body)

The Spirit of God lives and breathes with me.

I breathe with the Spirit.

I AM one with the Spirit.

I AM God’s Spirit.

At all times and in all places, the Spirit of God lives and breathes inside me.

I breathe with the Spirit.

I AM one with the Spirit.

I AM God’s Spirit.

The Spirit of God empowers me with the strength to

Mission Statement

Our mission is to guide people of all faiths after life-altering experiences to love their Divinefulness, that is, your TRUE SELF empowered by God's love.

"The victory that conquers the world is our faith." (1 John 5:4)

Although quoted from the Bible, we believe people of all faiths can agree. Unfortunately, in the midst of our suffering, this universal truth often escapes us. During our darkest moments, we're drowning in our despair. We're struggling to save our lives and our sanity, and we can't or don't know how to pull ourselves out of the darkness to be able to reach out to God or anyone else. We feel that God and the entire world have abandoned us even though we know that God is always with us.

At Divinefulness Publishing, Inc., we hope that sharing our own victories will help you begin or continue your healing journey.

We agree to disagree about religion and beliefs, but we all agree on needing a God-centered, spiritual life. Whether you choose to call this all-powerful life force God, Adonai, or the divine creator by another name, is your choice. We are not here to judge but to love and support each other.

Ignite Your Spirit!

Did you know that as early as 1993, the American Psychological Association published a report referencing 45 clinical studies that found Post-traumatic Stress  (PTS) often occurred in crime victims of childhood sexual abuse? When they and others experience PTS, it mirrors the PTS war veterans suffer, so please be forgiving and gentle with yourself or your loved one.

If you had a life-altering experience, you already know healing is not easy, but remember you are NEVER alone. Others like you, loved ones, and supporters are with you in spirit, and we are praying for you every day from all over the world.  THAT'S A LOT OF LOVE ALL FOR YOU!!!

Maybe you are a loved one beginning or continuing to provide support for someone on their healing journey, be assured that your love and support means the world to your loved one. Just listening, being compassionate and non-judgmental helps immensely!  GOD BLESS YOU!!!

Whether you are a minister, therapist, or someone else who serves them, GOD BLESS YOU, TOO!!!

I hope we have added some peacefulness to your day. We pray you find your inner strength and continue your healing journey or continue being someone’s light in the darkness.
